Dun Sailing, is a charming property conceived in the 1940s and expanded over the following decades in Avila Beach, is set for an exciting transformation. Hosting a mix of 16 motel rooms and apartments, this historic site, initially designed for the sailing community, has weathered the years, encountering the inevitable effects of time, and oceanside exposure. As we developed a plan for Dun Sailing, our focus was on restoration and enhancement. All aspects, from plumbing to landscaping, require meticulous attention. While the building's core elements like framing, roofing, and foundations stand strong, the passage of almost 40 years since it’s last significant upgrade calls for a comprehensive revitalization. We aim not only to bring Dun Sailing back to a more serviceable condition but to also introduce thoughtful upgrades, ensuring this coastal gem thrives for years to come. This project seeks for the restoration and enhancement of the property, while blending the property's rich history with a renewed vision for its future.
